Divinity Speaks

This short essay came to me in 2018 while on a break from dating. More accurately, this came during a time of deep dedication to falling in love with my own soul. This kind of time can be fraught with deep plunges into the dark waters of unprocessed grief and fear, as well as the experiences of love and clarity that occur in the moments of remembering and reuniting with our connection to it all. This was written in one of the latter moments. May it speak to your soul as it did mine. The value of taking time to be open to the divinity of one’s own being in between relationships (and of course, during!) can not be overstated. It is, as I’ve grown to understand it, a most exceptional way to achieve the integration of the divinity within before uniting with the divinity in another.

These Souls of ours are a matrix of love and color that reach as wide and deep as a sky full of stars. The timing is never certain, but without fail, eventually a new bright light will shoot across our sky, awakening us to the possibility of a new reality to come.

Yet, may we also learn how to be content in the dark.

May we cherish those in-between, quiet moments that might only hold the faintest glow of what has been, or what may be, our precious experience.

May we recognize the gift in those moments where our inner dancer moves to the chaos rhythms of “I don’t know”, while daring to simultaneously feel the rich stability in the stillness of our true Being.

Despite the pull of their sparkly nature, it is not those bright lights that fleetingly grab our attention that bring us true comfort. Our Home lies in the quiet resting point at the center of our beings.

With love, may we remember the capacity we hold to create new worlds from the clarity and inspiration from this place within us. And in our willingness to embrace both the light and the dark, just how divine we actually are.

I love you (yes, you). Thank you for deciding to come and for all you bring to this crazy party on Earth.
